Humane Mouse Trap Bucket Lid System Four Pack for Pests

Had a mouse in my NYC apartment that evaded every trap for weeks, including a homemade version of the same type of bucket trap. He wouldn’t even eat poison!! Set it up last night and he was dead in there by 9am. I didn’t even have to put bait on the ramp, just followed the instructions and smeared peanut butter and crushed some doritos onto the PB lol. BUY THIS!

I put this together as soon as it arrived. I didn’t have any luck inside my camper for the 1st 2 nights so I took it out and put it in the storage compartment. I didn’t get anything the 1st night it was there but the 2nd night I had 4 in there. I took them to the local boat dock and let them go under a tree. Reloaded it with 1/2 cup of oats and a few cat kibble. There was plenty sun butter on the trap door so I didn’t add more. I’m sure there are more mice so hopefully it will continue to work beautifully. They must have updated the design because the ramp doesn’t fall apart as some other reviewers have stated.

I put one in our garage where the mice had made their winter home and the first morning we had two little cuties eating the bird seed I put in there the night before. My husband took them out of the neighborhood and released them. I reset the trap in a different location and we’ll see if there are anymore but I’m happy that the trap works so well because I would hate to hurt the little mice.

I had been trying for a month with a different no kill trap and nothing!!! The first night I set his trap I caught 4. The bucket does not come with the purchase, I went to Lowe’s and got one for 5$.

Wow - first night we captured 7 mice. Worth every penny! Added 4 inches of water to bottom to finish the job.

This little mouse pictured in the trap had managed to do what the other three members of his/her posse could not: avoid triggering the snap traps! My snap traps had worked effectively for a few nights after I noticed mice in my new home. However, there came a point where the peanut butter was disappearing from a couple of the traps every night without the traps being triggered! I knew there was one last elusive rodent in my midst. For a few nights, it played me for a fool and enjoyed a protein-rich treat while leaving it's foul droppings in my home. I finally decided to purchase and pull out the big gun in this war: this RinneTraps Flip N Slide! The first night this trap spent on duty was fruitless, but that was likely user error on my part. Though this little mouse had been a thorn in my side for a while now, I had to respect his/her hustle. As a gesture of this respect, I decided to let it live, just not in my house. So I took it to an open field a few miles away from my house and released it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the story of how the Flip N Slide bested the last of the rodent menace in my home. I’ve been battling mice in my chicken coop. I’ve tried sticky traps, rat and mouse snap traps and even live traps and they’ve managed to elude it all (and eat the peanut butter!) so we bought these to try. The first night I got nothing. So I moved the one end of the ramp up onto something slightly elevated off the ground to make it less steep. And I added some chicken scratch to the far back side of the black flapper. I caught 2 mice. Then another 2. And then one more.

I read all the reviews. I wasn't sure what kind of results, if any, I would get. So I placed the RinneTrap in a corner of our chicken run and put a few small smears of peanut butter on the ramp as well as on the underside of the lid. The next morning I checked the trap and found TWELVE mice! On day 2 I caught 3 more mice. I'm very pleasantly surprised that the RinneTrap lived up to it's hype! I am excited to see what results I'll get tonight. The lid is simple to install and has notches/clips on the outside to snap onto the bucket. The lids appears durable especially since I shouldn't have any large rodents chewing on it. The ramp is light weight and care should be taken when attaching it to the lid. It has 2 prongs that slide into the edge of the lid and I could see those breaking if you aren't careful when inserting. The same is true where the two pieces of the ramp attach. Needless to say, we are thrilled that our RinneTrap is catching mice. We give it a 100% recommendation!

Followed the instructions and it did its job. First night's haul was four! These guys had a free meal and overnight accommodations at the Red Bucket Inn, then a ride into the country for new adventures.

I’ve used these lids for a while, they work very well with catching mice and small critters. Very easy and effective to use.

I do NOT put water in it, as I feel that is a very horrible way to die. I do catch and release, because I live in the woods and they won’t infest someone else’s home. Please don’t catch and release in a city, that’s just rude! Ok. So BEFORE THIS ONE. I had bought a “have a heart” trap, and it did not have a heart! It would smash down on the neck and literally strangle them to death, not a humane trap at all! I called it “have a head” instead of “have a heart”. But this trap works perfectly! I put some food on the lever, they come and eat it while they fall into the bucket, and then they get a long ride down to the creek where they have a chance to build a home instead of taking over mine. We catch mice all the time, and it truly works! Not one has been killed, and we often get four or five at a time. If you do catch and release PLEASE release them the next morning! It is very cruel to leave mice in a container together, they are not friends and they will kill and eat each other! I’m not against killing them, I just don’t like to, and where I live I simply don’t have to! Whatever you decide to do, just do it with some level of caring about our creatures. If you Kill, do it quickly and humanely! After several purchases, and trial and error to win the fight at our house, I found this bucket trap, and the problem is well under way to being resolved. I highly recommend this purchase above ALL other methods we have tried, and we tried several! Good luck

Well, it worked, once. I trapped one mouse. The instructions indicate that I should put grass and food in the bottom of the bucket and then release the mice outside. Do what?! You've got to be kidding!? Just so that it can come back? Nope. There's too many mice. But this is cheaper than a cat.

I have caught 40 mice in 2 months. The cats are not keeping up. I have used this with a bucket (not included), a few other live traps, and cats to catch them. This one has only had a mouse escape once. I do live traps only, except for when I am slow to steal from a cat. This bucket is the bulkiest for taking the mice far away to release but seems to have the fewest escapes, even including the ones the cats lose, and is the easiest to clean. Air flow is decent too, even if it is too hot or stormy or cold for ME to want to bother taking it outside and wait a day or two. (Yes, I put fruit scraps and food in there for it. Some dryer lint or cotton balls too)

The platform is a bit wiggly, and the ramp especially so. Warning - peanut butter at the tip of the platform will hit the yellow and mean more cleaning. Warning 2 - only put super thin smears on the ramp. Have had one the last two weeks with a habit of cleaning the ramp and not falling in.

PS: PLEASE do not use buckets as kill traps. Mice can swim and with struggle for hours swimming until exhausted and dying. Driving them to a field is easy with the bucket, or use a reusable snap traps instead.

Just take them and release them in a safe place far far away.

They work much better than old fashioned spring-loaded traps. I leave them at the cabin, and usually have two or three mice that I then dump on a stump for the ravens. No smell as I put a couple of gallons of water in the bucket.

Looking for a solution to help control outdoor populations in our backyard. So far, one small mouse after two days. I placed a screw through the bait point on the top point to secure a green bait block above the trap door. The plastic ladder/ramp is a little flimsy but considering the weight of a mouse it’s ok, but if it’s a rat I’d be concerned it may be marginal. The flap sets in its detents and is well balanced and slick so traction will be marginal helping them slide in once flap tips. The flap sets in two detents but does not lock in, shouldn’t be a problem just comes out easily when handling. It’s easy to setup, on your bucket of course, but figuring out what bait is going took some trial and error (peanut butter not working here). It’s a nice turnkey solution if you want a bucket trap, it is a little pricey for what it is.

Easy to set up and use. Added the flip to a 15 gallon bucket. Add peanut butter as the bait and you’re ready.

I was able to monitor the trap daily and before long the rodent issue was a thing of the past.

WELL worth an extra couple of bucks!! These are the real deal and work well. Well made. Not warped, flimsy, ill-fitting soft plastic cheapies. Do NOT waste your money on amazingly cheap knock offs!! I was tempted to save a couple of bucks on cheapies and learned a lesson.

Highly recommend! Keeping mice populations down in my barn is a constant battle. I was so tired of setting the humane traps only to have them fail or catch a mouse’s tail. Then I still had to transfer them into buckets until it was time to release. This saves me so much time and also less direct contact with the mice. I put a little seed on the black ledge so I can easily see when something is in the bucket. Then I just grab and go- no transferring. I throw a little tissue paper in the bottom to cushion their fall and provide a hiding space. I’m ordering several more right now so I thought I’d better share my input- if you’re thinking about this product, it’s great!!
