Alpha Heat Portable Heater - Top-Rated Portable Space Heater

Purchased this heater for my daughters small bathroom that gets quite chilly as there is no heating vent (must keep the door closed due to silly cat). The dimensions and design are exactly what I was looking for. The ambient thermostat seems to be a couple degrees off but that is to be expected. Discharge air measured at almost 300 degrees F so be cautious of items or small hands that could get close. The fan noise is manageable and sounds like a white noise generator to me. For other reviews comparing it to their hair dryer, those are 1,000-1,500 watts. This heater is only 350w, so expectations may need to be adjusted depending upon your application.

We try to keep our house at a very cold temperature to save energy costs, and this little item gives us the perfect solution in our bedroom to stay warm while the rest of the house is darn cold. I haven’t had a long enough to see the savings on an electric bill, but I expect decent savings.

Use them in multiple rooms and they do well

I love the low wattage of the heater for safety yet it produces great heat in a little package. Lots of versatility with its settings and the 1 min cool down feature is a nice touch. This heater was rated the number one plug in heater to get and it shows!!

Re-did my master bath (2 sinks to give you idea of size) with a lot of porcelain tile and it's an outside wall in my Wisconsin home- which means it is chilly. Bought it to help warm the bathroom in the morning. It is pretty good for some heat but does not get super warm like a space heater (which I did not expect from such a small unit). It warms my bathroom after I close door and let it heat up for 10 minutes, which helps unless Im in a hurry in the morning. I have been pleased with the heat output so far One thing I don't like is that it is upside down when plugged in. At first I thought it was a 06 but then realized it meant 90°. I do like the timer and am comfortable with the quality of this to leave it plugged in for few hours. It does not make my trim or wall too hot in the back, which I was glad as was worried it would "burn" or darken that area. It does not have that burning smell most space heaters use. I still plan on trying this in different areas master bath. My cats love when it is on so it is animal approved

Given I am prepared for "failure" rather than failing to prepare, I have turned my little Ranger into a "Bug-out Rig." I have a separate battery on an isolater I installed with an inverter for 110v power when and if needed. In addition I have a solar controller for a 100wt panel. This little heater is a great addition ! I should be able to run it a good 6 hrs if needed at about 68f. Being a small space, I primarily need it to take the chill off as I have both an excellent sleeping bag and a dog to help with warmth ;0). I like that the heater has a thermostat. I set it to 68f and let it run for about 10 mins and it heated the canopy up nicely. You can see from my images, heater to left on wall and inverter on the right. We have everything we need now. I am a 69 yr old disabled woman with a Service Dog, securing our security !

Just what I was expected. It’s small and runs very smooth. Generates enough heat for the size of the room. Small but powerful!

These are awesome little heaters. I work in a convenience store and the bathrooms are like 10x10 and these make them toasty warm. Definitely recommend

These are small but puts out a lot of heat. Heats my whole bedroom. Very quiet doesn’t make any noise I like that all you have to do is plug it in

I use it in the kitchen while having my coffee and in the evening on cooler nights! Heat emanates perfectly!

Throws great heat for our 10 X 12 room. We only have it on 400 watts and it is plenty of heat. So far so good.

Put this unit in my 250 Sq ft bathroom. When temps stayed above freezing at night, setting it at 75 the unit would cycle on and off. When it dropped below freezing it stayed on all the time. Set it at 90 and it runs 24/7. Electric usage minimal. I decided to try an experiment. Ordered the as seen on TV unit at twice the price, 2 to 3 times the wattage and rated by consumer reports as the cats meow. Not only was there no difference in the room temp I couldn't set it up to automatically turn on in a set number of hours. I'm posting my results so that anyone trying to decide what to buy can consider my experience in their decision. God bless you.

Perfect for the bathroom on cold mornings

We use it in a kennel of past ferals rescued from the desert last year.
It supplements an oil filled heater, the thermostat feature is great for varied temps here.
All of them are reeeeally enjoying indoors and warmth this year!!

Warmed up a small space that needed it. Bathroom. Great to have an automatic shut off. In this colder than usual winter, I don’t need extra electricity wasted!

I purchased this for my half bath that doesn't have an air vent. It works great! You can set the temperature and it will turn on and off when it heats to the temperature.

Works great. My half bath doesn’t have heat or air in it. This heater works great and warms the space well. My half bath isn’t a large space, but it definitely knocks the cold out.

I have a cabin that has some cold spots. This doesn’t heat immediately, but it does take the edge off and make a space more comfortable over time. I really like that it is small and can move easily from room to room. I have not noticed the sound being a problem. It doesn’t oscillate, but that is ok, the force of the out coming air is good. I even lent it to a friend who had no heat in her upstairs cabin and she said it did the job! Good value.

I live in a prefabricated mobile home and it has substantially lowered my heating cost. I purchased one for the living room and one for the bedroom. No need to turn on a costly heating unit. I've recommended it to several of my friends and neighbors.

Surprisingly strong for a Portable plug-in heater. Did a good job in the corner rooms during the cold spell. The only negative is the metal cover gets very hot, so be careful when moving the heater around.

I bought this specifically for my bathroom that stays cool due to being on an outside wall. This is a perfect heater for a small space such as this. This is not made to heat a large room so let the expectation be clear, this is for small spaces and works perfectly for just that!

This space heater worked well to supplement a propane heater in our RV vehicle. Propane is expensive and bulky. One 20 pound tank only lasts for 36 hours in our application in Florida. The wall space heater extended the usefulness of the propane tank by 48 hours in a recent Gainesville Florida cold snap.

Bought this to heat large bathroom at bath time. Works wonderfully , heats fast . Takes small space when used. When I a using walkin tub the remote is important to me. … i am 12 feet away from the unit. Thank you

Used it in my open concept area to heat up the area. Since in a 2 story home heat rises. It helps. I even bought one for my restroom. I think its awesome it has a timer. And a remote.
